Very good technical explanation for how to achieve mail relay by using sendmail. We stumbled upon while searching what we meant to our Chinese colleagues :) What we were struggling here to discriminate mm3 and mm4 traffic. in MMS jargon mm3 for sending/receiving mms from/to email receipents/senders. VAS platform which located in secure zone is not allow to send/receive mail directly over internet. That's why internal mail server resides in mmsc should relay mails first to corporate mail server which is located in DMZ.
when the topic comes to mm4 since it will traverse over dedicated leased line(GRX ->VPN) for roaming partners or direct VPN to national operators, it can ben send directly as mail to receipent from mail server which resides in Secure Zone.
